Road Safety for Senior Citizens is of great concern to the community. Jaywalking and crossing of roads outside designated crossing areas are irresponsible acts that lead to road accidents. Poor vision, hearing and slow movements & reactions further increase the risks. We wish to highlight the importance of having good road safety habits through Drivers Aptitude Assessment System, eye sight and hearing test machines.

Together with Traffic Police Road Safety Section, Bukit Batok Driving Centre have been doing some preventive work for senior citizens and has launched the Street Safety for Senior Citizens since in year 2005.

This year BBDC will be working intensively to achieve greater benefits for Senior Citizens on Road Safety. Till today, we have conducted more than 10 events organize by People Association Senior Citizens network and Resident Committees which have benefited around 6,000 Senior Citizens who have participated in  the events. We hope to increase road safety awareness among Senior Citizens.
